Jobs Partnership of Cleveland celebrated ten years as an effective faith-based workforce development Ministry at its First Annual Community Partners Fundraiser and Awards Dinner on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Word Church Kingdom Building. One hundred sixty guests and JPC volunteers attended the gala event. Mr. Harry Boomer of Channel 19 Action News was the Master of Ceremonies for the event.
The Jobs Partnership Founder’s Award was presented to Reverend Yvonne Tufts Jeans, whose vision and commitment brought about and sustained this organization that has now graduated and prepared for employment over 900 citizens of the greater Cleveland community. The Community Partnership Award was presented to Mr. Melvin Pye, Jr., Executive Director of Fairfax Place. The Compassionate Partner Award will be presented to Mr. Michael Harrison, Career Counselor of the Volunteers of America
Reverend Paul Hobson Sadler, Sr, Senior Pastor at Mt. Zion Congregational Church, UCC, was recognized as a Jobs Partnership Champion for his work both nationally and locally in support of faith-based workforce development. Reverend Gwendolyn McCurry, Senior Pastor of All Nations Deliverance Ministries was recognized as a Jobs Partnership Champion for the outstanding contribution of her church, congregation and community to the Ministry.
